The Department of Accounting and Auditing has its strengths in the traditional areas of research in financial and management accounting and auditing.

The Department of Accounting and Auditing aims to maintain and develop this profile, so that it will appear to be the obvious national centre for research in these topics.

It aims to measure its success qualitatively as well as quantitatively with regards to its aim to be a centre for research in accounting.

The success criteria are:

  1. National and international publication of research
  2. Establishment of research networks both national and international
  3. The ability to attract researchers working with new research topics in accounting and auditing, as well as more traditional ones.
  4. The achievement of a smooth generational change.
