I am mainly interested in economic policy and the implications of globalization. Concerning economic policy, I am broadly interested in structural policy as well as business cycle policies. This is also reflected in my research where I have been working with monetary policy, fiscal policy, trade policy and education policy. With respect to globalization, my main interests have been related to how the labour market is affected by product market integration and the increasing tendency for international outsourcing. In most of my research, both within economic policy and globalization, a central assumption has been that trade unions play an important role at the labour market.

Primary research areas

  • Labour Markets and European Integration.
  • Globalization and Wage Formation when Labour Markets are Imperfect.
  • Education and Taxation.
