In 2006, ISV researchers were reorganised into six groups in order to support the future research development of the Department. The focus areas are emphasised and further elaborated in the description of each research group below. The groups are united in their orientation towards language processes in businesses and organisations, the people that organise and conduct the processes, and the technology and tools that support them.
In addition, a number of researchers work on individual research products within the field of linguistic studies.
The Department of International Language Studies and Computational Linguistics has two associate centres:
The Jury of the 2010 Linguapax Award has decided to grant the prize to DR. ROBERT PHILLIPSON
the Linguapax Award is granted every year to acknowledge the
outstanding work of linguists, researchers and activists in the active preservation of linguistic diversity
in terms of the promotion of peace.
