Affiliated with Center for International Business and Emerging Markets

While trade, investment, and economic development in emerging markets have been and remain my main research areas, I am also interested in Nordic and European economic development. Understanding our own history and current economy gives a firm basis for comparative analysis of other economies. It also makes discussions about economic policy simpler: it is easier to win support for a good argument if it can be supported by successful experiences from the past and not only theoretical results from a textbook (although theories are often necessary parts of the argument).
