In January 2009 we decided to postpone the MCC. We are happy to note that the interest in the program is still vivid. By means of this newsletter we would like to give everybody an update on the plans and prospects of the MCC for the coming season.
Our ambition is to use the postponement as an opportunity to redesign the MCC and develop a new and strong Master in Corporate Communication. Several considerations are involved in this strategy. However, the new MCC will for certain be based on the same fundamental features as before:
After summer we expect to be able to announce the appointment of new associate dean who will be in charge of the development process. Depending on the accreditation processes, the new MCC is expected to take off in August 2010 or January 2011. Information meetings as well as application deadlines and processes will be announced here on our website and through a MCC newsletter channel.
The purpose of a CBS Master in Corporate Communication will be to provide executives with the necessary insight and competences to link the strategic goals and challenges of the company to its internal and external communication. This, we believe, is a necessary investment in the future for companies in the communication and knowledge society.
The actual challenges make many firms think twice about investing in executive education. The question is of course if this is the best way to cope with times of downturn. Fortunately many leaders understand the necessity to prepare for the upswing. So keep an eye on the CBS executive program developments!
Best wishes for happy summer holidays!
