Cell Phones

You will find it almost impossible to do without a cell phone while in Denmark. It is a great way to keep in touch with your new friends.

You have 3 options getting a subscription while in Denmark (Prices change continually as competition improves.)

  1. You bring your own (sim unlocked that works with GSM 900 and 1800 networks) phone from your home country. Denmark has a lot of different companies that offer great deals where you pay for your subscription online. This is the option that most Danish students choose. You can pay for this with an international credit card as well.
  2. Buy a new (sim unlocked) phone in Denmark and then get the same kind of subscription as mentioned above. You can get a new phone from around 600 DKK.
  3. get a new phone with a subscription included. This means that you have to sign up for a subscription for 6 months, which is non-terminable. The cost of these subscriptions usually cost about 100-300 DKK per month. The 6 months subscriptions require a Danish CPR-number.
