CBS is a member of ECCH. CBS faculty and staff may search and order cases, but advance payment is required.
A growing number of ’inspection copies’ are now accessible for free (pdf) via ECCH (registration required).
ECCH's COLIS database is the most comprehensive bibliography of cases within business economics and related fields. It offers an advanced search interface permitting users to search by company name, title, keywords etc. COLIS contains abstracts of more than 30.000 cases.
Among contributing institutions are IMD, INSEAD, IESE, London Business School, School of Management at Cranfield University, Richard Ivey School of Business at University of Western Ontario; Harvard Business School; Stanford University; Darden School of Business at University of Virginia; John F Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
The CBS Library manages membership on behalf of CBS.
Electronic 'Case Masters' can be delivered in cryptated form (pdf) from which copies can be made (£3.10 per copy). You are obliged to request permisssion to take copies. To do so, you must install a SoftSEAL plug-in to decrypt the pdf-document. Please find more information by ECCH
.
Naturally, individual departments may become independent members of ECCH. The fee is £150 a year for full membership and £75 for associate membership. One benefit of membership is protection against 'blocking' of your account due to non-payment by other parties. Furthermore, full members receive bibliographies of cases directly from some of the providers.
